What is a PopSocket I hear you cry! A PopSocket is a grip and stand for your phone or tablet. It sticks right on to the back of your phone or case and lets you to get a better one-handed hold on your device. The PopSocket expands and collapses so it's still easy to carry your phone in your pocket or bag. Phones are only getting bigger and I sometimes struggle to keep a firm grip on my iPhone 6, it's almost impossible to text on it one handed! Using a PopSocket on the back gives me a comfortable secure hold and it's great for when I'm juggling with an armful of things on my way out the door. If you look at your phone in bed you'll no longer have to worry about dropping it on your face! You can re-position them again and again and they don't leave any sticky mess on your phone (I've tested). They are a fantastic little invention, originally sold in the US and made famous by YouTuber Jenna Marbles (which is where I first spotted them) and they're now available in the UK!
I only need one on the back of my iPhone 6 but if you have a bigger phone (the 6 Plus or Samsung Galaxy etc) you might benefit from having two. You can even wrap your earphone cable around them. The one I have on at the moment is the Mandala design in blue. My boyfriend uses one on his phone too and I've even got my mum on board! Hers is of course the cat design. The lovely people at PopSockets.co.uk kindly sent me a few different designs and I'm addicted. I've decided to give one away to a lucky reader, read to the bottom of this post for more info...
I was worried the PopSocket would bother me, but it pops down to flat only adding a little bit of bulk to the phone and I can still slide it into my bag with no problems. Fun fact - if you're a Pokemon Go player (and who isn't) the PopSocket is perfect for running around the streets catching Pokemon, a better grip means less chance of a dropped phone and smashed screen. There's also a mount, the Pop Clip, which sticks to most surfaces and then your PopSocket slides in. Great for hands free in the car or by your bed as a diy 'charging station'. All PopSockets and the Pop Clip are £6.99 on the UK website with free delivery. At the moment there are more designs available on the US site (there's even an option to personalise your own) but I'm hoping to see that option and more designs on the UK website soon if these grow in popularity.
