Makeup for an Adventure Holiday

In a few days I'm heading to Center Parcs for mini holiday with my best girlies! I'm really looking forward to it, I haven't been to Center Parcs since I was little but I have great memories of the family holidays we had there. We have our activities booked and I'm sure we'll be doing a lot of walking and/or cycling around the forest too. I won't be worrying about makeup all that much, I'll be too busy hurtling down the rapids at the Subtropical Swimming Paradise! But that said, I am going to pack a small bag of everyday beauty bits for our action packed holiday. My go to items that are perfect for an adventure...

Lip Balm
I'll keep a lip balm here, there and everywhere so I've always got one to hand. Being outdoors, especially if it's windy, means dry lips. So pop one in your pocket. A tinted lip balm works in the place of a sheer lipstick. Look how cute this travel-friendly Vaseline tub is!

Tinted Moisturiser
I'll swap my foundation for a tinted moisturiser. The coverage might not be the same but it will feel lighter on your skin and add just a hint of airbrushing. I like the Tea Tree BB cream by The Body Shop, it feels refreshing on the skin and doesn't settle in any lines or creases.

Bold Liquid Lipstick
You spotted that cocktail bar and now fancy an impromptu evening out! If you've only packed simple neutral makeup then a bright lipstick will work wonders and completely change your look. I like to go for a liquid lipstick such as this one* from Lord & Berry, I find they last longer on the lips.

Cream Blush
No brush needed, apply with your fingers! I like how a cream blush smooths into the skin and looks more natural than a powder. I love this coral toned one from Topshop for the summer and you only need the tiniest amount to give you a realistic healthy glow.

Neutral Eye Palette
I like to have the option of dressing up with a dark smokey eye if the occasion calls for it. But I find it's best to stick to neutral browns and this palette from 'Undressed' palette from MUA is lightweight, slim and has all the shades I could ever need, from day to night. I even fill my brows in using a matte brown shade from this palette. Plus it's only £4. Read my full review here.

Over to you! Whether you are camping, glamping, rock climbing or thrill seeking this summer, I want to know; what are your must-pack items for an adventure holiday?
