Yesterday I caught the train down to London to meet with the lovely people behind Pandora UK. They were putting on a event for bloggers and we were invited to decorate chocolates, arrange flowers and have a first look at the Mother's Day & Spring collection. (Scroll down to see photos of my finished bouquet and chocolates!) Pandora are a brand I always feel have been around for forever; but in fact they've only been in the UK for the last five years. When I think of Pandora jewellery I think high quality, luxurious and very feminine! It was wonderful to be invited down to the Pandora house (yes, a real and very beautiful property in central London) to chat with the girls from Pandora and meet other bloggers.
Included in the Mother's Day collection are new charms, the Moments charm bangle and the beautiful love knot design. We also got to see quite a bit of the Essence collection which I'm a big fan of. Smaller and daintier than the Moment's charm bracelets, Essence charms each represent a value and inscribed into the side of each bead is a meaningful word. I have the simple and elegant 'Trust' charm*
The chocolate decorating was actually quite tricky. I'm not too bad with a pencil or paintbrush so I thought I'd have no problem icing chocolates but icing doesn't behave like paint! Sticking with a floral theme I piped teeny flowers on a vine on to my chocolates. As tempted as I was to try one or two I boxed them up and brought them home for Mum. I loved the flower arranging, although making a bouquet to wrap is much harder than arranging flowers in a vase. I had some rather wild foliage in mine but I'm calling it 'rustic'. The flowers we were provided with were gorgeous, the smell of eucalyptus was all around. Many thanks to The Isle of You and Buscuiteers for teaching us a little of their craft! And finally a big thank you to Pandora for putting on such an enjoyable and generous blogger event!
