Winter Energy Boost Smoothie | Banana & Chai Tea

Summer is not the only time of year for smoothies. You can whizz up a winter appropriate mood-boosting creation to see you through the colder months too. Today I'm sharing my Banana and Chai Tea smoothie recipe made with my Breville Blend-Active Smoothie Maker* from AO.com. It's refreshing enough to satisfy a smoothie craving but holds all the wonderful flavours you associate with winter. I love the spices in chai tea and this blend is just like an iced chai tea latte without the added sugary syrups of course...

You Need:
1 Frozen Banana
Small Mug of Strongly Brewed & Cooled Chai Tea
250ml of Milk (almond milk works well)
Pinch of Cinnamon
Pinch of Nutmeg
Chopped or Flaked Almonds

Chop up the frozen banana, throw everything into your blender bottle and press blend!
This recipe is for the 600ml bottle, halve the ingredients for your 300ml bottles.

This blender is a dream to use. It's the family version of the Blend-Active sports bottle blender and comes with two 600ml adult-sized bottles and two smaller 300ml bottles. Throw all your fruit, nuts, ice, veggies into the bottle of your choice, screw on the blade cap and turn upside down and click into the blender. You press and hold or 'pulse' the blend button to whizz up your recipe and it's surprisingly powerful! I love the green, white and grey design; a gadget that will look pretty sitting on any kitchen surface. And you only need to wash one bottle and the blade cap after each use. I was kindly send this smoothie maker to review but I'm really impressed with the price (under £30) and I can certainly see myself using this blender all the time (it will make my healthy 2 ingredient pancake recipe even easier!)

  6. What a great idea. The blender seems really useful. And I have been craving banana shakes lately! I just hate the cleaning afterwards.
