New Beauty Favourites

The end of 2015 has brought a lot of new makeup and beauty bits into my life, mainly gifts for my birthday or Christmas, and I've been so excited to share these with you as in some cases - I feel like I've found wonder products! If you've got some Christmas pennies to spend then feast your eyes on this lot because it's all worthy of your shopping basket if you ask me...

This wonderful trio was a Christmas present from the other half (yes, he's wonderful too!) I tried all three of these products at the CT press event in December and loved them. I'm so happy to have these mini versions and there's plenty so they'll last a good while. I'm already thinking about repurchasing Wonder Glow which adds a beautiful finish to the skin to be worn alone or with foundation.

This highlighter arrived in a Glossybox and I didn't think much of it at first glance. I've tried other So Susan products in the past and found them to be so-so but this is possibly my favourite highlighter ever! Apologies for the rubbish photo but let me assure you one or two swipes of this creamy highlighter makes a huge difference! It's one to save for evening looks or nights out. There's so much glow and reflecting pigments in this crayon, but not at all glittery (which I can't stand in highlighters). The fact it comes in a push up crayon with a angled tip makes it even better, I swipe this on the tops of my cheekbones and sometimes under my brows and blend carefully with a finger.

I haven't used a fake tan for a good 6 months. It's cold out! But I was keen to try this new product from St Moriz (who already make fantastic tans) as this one is supposed to develop very quickly. So no more going to bed covered in tan and forgetting to keep my arms straight. It also has 'shade control' which means you can wash this off after 1 hour, 2 hours or 3 hours depending on the colour you're looking for. A quick warm shower is all you need to get rid of the guide colour and see what you've been left with! I left this on for 2.5 hours and was left with a natural looking tan, probably 1 shade darker than my usual ghostly paleness. Perfect for this time of year when I just want to warm my skin up a bit but I'd leave this for 3 maybe even 4 hours if I wanted a deeper tan. It works just as well as all of the St Moriz products. I thought it was quite fragrant although my mum did ask if I'd been drinking (hah!) and after I'd showered I could barely smell it at all. It's also fading very well. No funny areas on dry patches of skin. I would definitely repurchase, it's such an advantage to be able to tan in only a few hours.

These two shiny copper palettes were a Christmas present and came in a gift set full of goodies. I've been seriously impressed with Ted Baker beauty products and I had to feature these as they're so pretty. The blush compact includes a huge swivel mirror too so the perfect palette to travel with as you'll always have a little stand up mirror to hand. Below you'll see the Ted Baker mascara and eyeliner pen which are both fantastic. The mascara is build-able to a dramatic look without being clumpy and the liner comes in a easy to use 'felt tip pen' style and lasts all day long.

  1. I really want to try some CT products! Great post
