Sleep Well Shop Well

#SleepWellShopWell - the hashtag you may have spotted all over Twitter and Instagram last Friday night! With a team of Manchester bloggers, led by the lovely Megan from Pages by Megan and organised by Propeller Net with The Front Row Society, I headed down to the Piccadilly Premier Inn to check in for a night of fine dining, wonderful company and hopefully a restful night's sleep! This blogger event was crafted around Megan's favourite places to shop in Manchester and Friday night gave us all a chance to get to know each other and chat about our best kept shopping secrets before heading out on Saturday with a list of all the best places!

After check in and meeting the other girls in the bar area, we headed to San Carlo Fumo on Oxford Road. It was my first trip to the restaurant and I can safely say it won't be my last, the food was incredible! Dish after dish of Fumo's best sellers were brought out to us to sample and just when I thought I couldn't eat anymore, more food arrived! To finish the meal one of the best tasting (and largest) ice cream sundaes appeared in front of us.

I'll most certainly be taking my friends and boyfriend to San Carlo Fumo for special occasions in the future. I'll let the following food photographs speak for themselves. Although it's wise to stop here if you're reading on an empty stomach...

Already full, but we couldn't resit sharing this huge ice cream sundae! Hazelnut and vanilla ice cream with Nutella sauce swirled in, wafers and a Ferrero Rocher on top! Plus we had had quite a lot of wine by this point so silly pictures were inevitable. It was soon time to be back at the hotel for a good night's rest ready for a Saturday full of shopping.

I always find Premier Inn rooms comfortable, clean and well designed. For a hotel room it feels spacious whilst still including all the necessities. But being across from a block of city apartments we had a pretty clear view of everything that was going on inside them, why do some people never close the blinds?! After a lovely night out I sunk into a marshmallow bed and wondered how I'd ever have room for our Premier Inn breakfast...

The next morning I met the other bloggers for breakfast (although a bacon sandwich and a mug of tea was about all I managed) and thought about our day of shopping. Front Row Society had kindly provided us with a map of the best places to shop and a gift voucher to help us on our way. With the rain beating down I didn't spend long outdoors and in fact I didn't manage to get much shopping done. I just can't handle Manchester on a Saturday! I'll be heading back for a quieter trip sometime during this week so I'll keep you updated with what I spend my pennies on.

A big thank you to Propeller Net & The Front Row Society and Premier Inn for a wonderful event and treating us like royalty from the moment we arrived!
