I always imagined as a brand, Barbour were for the autumn and winter months, but this wax utility jacket from Country Attire is actually perfect for cool summer evenings. It's lightweight whilst still feeling sturdy. Easy to grab and throw on for walks through the countryside. I opted for the utility in olive, a size 10, my usual size. It fits comfortably, with plenty of room to stretch and move about whilst still being a slim fit to the body and flattering. It has a short collar which can be worn standing up or flat. There are about a million pockets, including an inside zipped pocket (which I love, makes me feel ever so secretive, there's something I've always liked about hidden pockets!) The lining is a dark green and orange tartan and flashes can be seen when worn unzipped. The length is perfect for me, about half way down my bum (I'm 5'7) and I feel very British and very ready to crash through muddy puddles with a few dogs by my side when wearing it!
