I'm not big on MAC special collections, I prefer to find gems that work for me in their permanent range so I know I can keep going back to them. I'm slowly building up my eye palette and in no rush to finish it. I like to discover new shadows from friends, beauty bloggers and recommendations from makeup artists, before I go ahead and make a purchase. Recently I've added three new shadows to my palette in the shades, Cranberry, Naked Lunch and Wedge. Popular shadows and I can see why! I also picked up Soar lipliner which is a beautiful vintage pink-brown for darker neutral lips. Perfect for A/W and a known favourite of Kylie Jenner. I'm so excited to try out a look using Cranberry on the lids and Soar on my lips - a look you can only really pull of in the colder seasons.
Naked Lunch has quickly become a favourite in my collection, I use it all over the lid for a simple everyday look or I'll use it with a darker bronze shadow in the crease and Shroom as a highlight. Whilst excited to add something different to my palette, I'm a little apprehensive about Cranberry. If anyone has any tutorials or looks they can link me to I'd love to see how to use this deep plum red in without looking like I have really sore eyes! Wedge is a basic matte medium brown, the ideal blending shadow, crease colour, or one to wear on its own all over the lid. It's the only matte in my palette and although mattes are quite boring to buy I know I'll end up using this one often.
