Lilac Highlighter

Highlighters are a big hit and miss with me. Some work fantastically well, others do nothing at all on my face. Lots of highlighters are far to glittery for me and some are too dark/bronze/golden for my pale skin.
But I recently placed an order with Makeup Revolution (which is a super affordable makeup brand similar to ELF or MUA, but better in my opinion) and I was excited by the idea of their lilac-toned highlighter, 'Pink Lights'. It's just £3 available online and in Superdrug and they have two other shades, Golden Lights and Peach Lights.

This cool toned powder is very well pigmented, so I only need a few swipes with a soft brush on the top of my cheekbones and in the center of my chin. It has a little shimmer seen in direct sunlight, so I'd probably save it for fancier occasions or nights out rather than wearing it everyday. It's great to find a highlighter that makes a difference without being the wrong shade or worse, gives you 'disco-ball face'.

  12. I'm quite pale and always find highlighters are too dark on my skin so this could be a good match for me! The Topshop highlighter in Polished is good for pale skin too xx

  16. I've got yellow undertones in my skin color, so this shade can't be the right shade. Maybe the "golden lights" shade can be better for me
