Graduation Makeup

I'm graduating next week! It's that time of year so I'm sure many of you guys will be graduating from Universities too or attending end of year leavers ceremonies / award nights if you're at college etc. I wanted to show you how I'll be wearing my makeup - to be honest, it's not much different to how I wear it most days. Your graduation photos will be treasured forever so I think it's important you look like yourself, don't wear too much makeup or suddenly try out a new trend - keep things light and summery (if you're graduating in the Summer!) I won't be having my hair quite this messy on the day, but maybe I'll save hairstyles for another post! There's a full list of all the products I used below...

Start by priming your face with a 'dewy finish' primer for a more natural skin finish. I'm using Murad's Primer and applying it with a Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I then went ahead with my usual foundation combo and applied concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes. I tend to look like death warmed up at this point so now it's time to fill in my brows. My foundation tends to blur the line of my lips so I use a MAC pencil in 'Dervish' to fill them back in.

I'm then going in with MAC Naked Lunch all over over the lid and up past the crease. In the crease and outer corners I'm adding a small amount of Satin Taupe, then blending with a fluffy brush. I've added pencil liner to my top waterline only (don't want the eyes to be too heavy) and popped a tiny flick of liquid liner on top of the lash line. I curled my lashes and used Volume Million Lashes mascara.

It's not very clear on these photos but I used MAC Utterly Game on the apples of my cheeks which is a peachy-coral mineralize blush and a non-shimmery highlighter on the tops of my cheeks and center of my chin. Lastly, I used Coral Bliss lipstick (my current favourite shade.)

Murad Dewy Finish Primer, Clinique Anti Blemish Foundation, Illamasqua White Foundation for mixing, HD Brows Kit, MAC Naked Lunch and Satin Taupe Shadows, Jelly Pong Pong Eyeliner, Loreal Liquid Liner, Loreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara, MAC Blush in Utterly Game, Highlighter from the Sleek Light Contour Kit, MAC Lip Pencil in 'Dervish', MAC Lipstick in Coral Bliss.

How have your graduation ceremonies been? I'll be graduating on Thursday with a First Class BA Hons Degree which is pretty exciting and a little nerve wracking. We get to wear the long gowns and mortar boards, I'm sure I'll have lots of photos taken on the day to share with you - so wish me luck! Keep your fingers crossed I don't fall...
