Orange Eyes

Last week I showed you my new Acid Brights Palette from Makeup Revolution. I'm using it again today to create these quick bright orange eyes! But you can use any bright shadows you own. It's a take on the 'sunset' look I did, it's very simple and I'm going to show you how it's done...

Start by sweeping a shadow of deep pink, purple or red across your lids. This gives the orange a base to sit on and will result in a deeper/brighter colour. Then go in with the bright orange shade on a fluffy brush winging it out quite far but not too high up! I then popped an arch of bright yellow into the crease and blended upwards.

Finish with a strong flick of liquid liner and a lot of black eye pencil in the waterline for definition. I used a volumising mascara and a coral lipstick to tie the whole look together. I brought some of the deep pink under the lower lash line too.

It's a easy bright style that makes a refreshing change from my usual nudes and brown smokey eyes. It's also much less effort. It reminds me of being 10 and using a sponge applicator to put on eyeshadow for a disco. Forget about your blending brushes and contouring the crease, this is the way forward!

  6. Looks really good. So you know, if you don't actually own any of these brushes do good quality paint brushes work....? I definitely own far more arty things than make-up things but make-ups beginning to seem more fun. :)
