Pale Skin Party Season Beauty

I don't blog about beauty often but since picking up some tips from the makeup artists at work and having my makeup done professionally for the first time in ages it's brought out my love of beauty products again and I thought I'd document a few of my favourite looks of the moment. These are perfect for the upcoming party season and I'll definitely be picking from one of these three when it comes to choosing how to wear my makeup for a night out. I'm no expert or beauty guru so these are just ways I like to wear my products - very simple and accessible. I don't wear lots of makeup so I guess my looks are more for those of you who like to look fairly natural. They are also great for super pale skins such as my own and all products used will be listed under each image.

Brown Smokey Eyes & Nude Lips

An easy classic. I feel I can wear smokey eyes both during the day and at night so it's a great transitional one for day to night if you have a work's Christmas party to attend! I used ELFs cream eyeshadows in 'Butter Pecan' and the shades 'Virgin' and 'Sin' from the original Urban Decay NAKED palette. I popped the grey cream all over the lid and added a touch of brown into the outer lid area. I went all over the top with 'Sin' and popped a bit of Virgin into the center of my lids and under the brows. On my cheeks I used Sleek's Light Bronzer Kit and a touch of Well Dressed blush by MAC. Lips are Hue by MAC. I filled my eyebrows in a little more than usual so they were quite thick.

Coral & Rose Gold Lips

I'm really getting into coral shades at the moment and I've been loving using my coral shade lipstick from Topshop in 'Ohh La La' to get that warm golden touch I popped a tiny bit of golden eyeshadow from the NAKED palette on to the center of my lips and blended slightly. This gives you a metallic shimmer that surprisingly didn't dry out my lips and it lasts for ages! I kept the rest of my makeup simple with a coral blush from MAC Utterly Game on my cheeks and just a touch of gold eyeliner under the eyes. I used a small coat of Daniel Sandler Baby Mascara and kept my brows light.

Subtle Red Lips & Cat Eye Flick

For a red lip that's not so bold I used MAC's Lady Bug which is quite a sheer coverage but can't be built up as the night goes on. It's also a lustre finish which gives it a slight shine. I've been using my L'Oreal Intense Liner to create tiny cat flicks nearly everyday and these two are a perfect pairing for each other. All over the lid I used Sin from the Urban Decay palette which just adds a pink shimmer to a otherwise plain look. This ones great for parties with the family as it says I've made an effort without trying too hard.

So there are my three easy keeping-it-simple makeup looks for Christmas and New Year festivities.
