I am obsessed with internet shopping. With all the hype over in the States about Black Friday and Cyber Monday I've been thinking about my own online habits. I'm also always browsing old favourites and new fashion websites for inspiration. It sometimes helps me to put together mood boards (colour coordinated of course) and lay out dream outfits on Photoshop. Am I sad? Recently I've been lusting after many things on Hobbs.co.uk who always have great photographs and lookbooks. I've managed to split my Christmas lust list into two colour categories - gold and silver.
In the silver section, I'm loving anything fluffy and oversized. Metallic silver looks beautiful when paired with black or matte textures. So i.e. this pair of shiny silver brogues with the horse print jumper and a pair of skinny jeans is a winning look. I'm also seeing a lot of blue leopard print which is a much cooler and sophisticated way to wear an animal print. Silver can be very understated so you can feel free to go all out with jewellery and sparkle.
Over on my gold moodboard I've spotted some amazing chunky day bags and evening clutch bags on the Hobbs website and their collection is full of luxury. My personal favourite is this half penny round bronze shoulder bag! All I need now is someone to buy it for me! As well as window shopping for myself I've been eyeing up some perfect gifts for Christmas including this winter spice candle and matching socks and beanie.
I like to wear gold metallics as simply as possible as not to cause too much of a riot. One or two pieces of delicate jewellery only!
Please tell me I'm not the only one who loves putting fashion moodboards together! Which colour will you be wearing this year?
