DIY Transform Jewellery with Nail Polish

The simplest way to transform a piece of jewellery is to paint it with nail polish! I found this beautiful necklace but didn't like the gunmetal diamantes and wanted something brighter for Spring. Nail polish dries quickly and applies surprisingly well to metal. Plus you can paint over it to change your look again and again!

Gold Chain Necklace - Primark £4.00
Nail Polish: Mint Candy Apple - Essie £7.99

Take one statement necklace with diamantes, stones or gems you'd like to re-paint.

Carefully paint each individual stone with your chosen nail colour.
Have a cloth handy to remove any smudges or mistakes.

Paint a second coat if needed.
The polish will dry fairly quickly, but leave for a few hours before wearing just in case.

    1. I'm sure you can Kerry! It's as if the nail polish clings to the little rhinestones in a neat blob so it's super easy to paint them x
