Teacup on Thomas Street

In a bid to blog more lifestyle type posts I thought I'd share with you some pictures taken at Teacup on Thomas Street (Manchester, Northern Quarter) from a visit there a while ago. Me and Alison popped in for lunch between a shopping trip and it's one of my favourite places to eat as well as just grab a cup of tea.

Teacup have a whole menu just for teas! Any type of tea you can imagine, they will have it. They also have a wide selection of juices and coffees incase you're not to in to tea. I usually stick with a basic Assam as I'm not too keen on fruity or flowery teas. Each tea comes in it's own special pot/s. Assam needs to be brewed for 4 minutes (and you are provided with a mini egg-timer so you can get this just right) at which point it is transferred into a second teapot before being poured into your cup! All these pots are put right down on your table and the staff there will tell you everything you need to know about your tea.

On this occasion I treated myself to a large mug of spicy tomato soup which stayed red hot and really warmed me up after a trek through the bitter wind.
In the past I have tried the fish finger sandwich which is actually a incredibly posh version of my own recipe it's battered fish sticks in a wrap!

Has anyone been to Teacup on Thomas Street? I highly recommend it next time your in Manchester.
I'd be interested to know who likes these lifestyle style posts and if you'd like to see more of my favourite places to eat and drink in Manchester?
