Band Night

Racer Back Tee - New Look
Hoodie - H&M
Grey Skinny Jeans - Primark
Beanie - Primark
Jewellery - Fashionology/H&M

Last night Josh and I went to see Twisted Wheel at Manchester Academy 2. It was the first gig I've been to since The Stone Roses back in June last year so I was really looking forward to it. My plan to stay at the back in the 'chilled out' zone failed and I ended up being crushed at the front bar. But had a fantastic time and thought I'd take a few snaps before leaving the house to show you what I wear to such an occasion.

Dressing for a music gig can be tricky. There is no point going all out in heels and a dress when you're just going to get sweaty in a dark room with lots of strangers. Also, no body cares.
A thin vest top is ideal to keep you cool, but I layered up with a hoodie and leather jacket to keep me warm during the journey. I love these grey skinnies from Primark, I bought them only yesterday for £11 and they are a perfect fit, stretchy and comfortable. They are seriously rivaling my Topshop Leighs. And of course, the 'band night' look is not complete without a pair of Vans. These ones are new and caused me a bit of foot trouble towards the end of the night but totally worth it to know I'm slowly breaking them in.

Josh wore a jacket with a removable hood and I really wouldn't recommend it (we nearly lost it!) Even though I felt about 15 years old in this outfit it was suitable for the night and so much fun to catch trains and buses everywhere again rather than driving. Who's been to a gig/concert recently?

  1. I'm seeing Two Door Cinema Club at the end of next month, I can't wait! It's always difficult deciding what to wear, you know you'll get hot and sweaty when you're there but need to be warmm for the journey! I normally go with shorts and tights, and then a hoodie like you. It's easy to just shove in your bag :)

  2. Your photos are always so great!

  4. Such a casual outfit, you look great though :) xx

  5. You look awesome, seems like you had a great time! xxx

  6. Fab outfit :) perfect for gigs! I don't get people who wear really fancy outfits at gigs... it just looks really out of place and totally pointless when the place is going to quickly become a sweaty pit. Plus, who can jump around in heels anyway?!
