FAQ This Fashion Is Mine

In my two years of blogging I have actually never written a 'frequently asked questions' type post and I thought it was about time. I often get asked these same questions again and again and as much as I love getting emails or tweets it's often easier to have all these answers written down in one place.

#1 What camera do you use?
I have a Nikon D3000 that I have been using for the past 3 years. It's a lovely camera. I've since played around with a few lenses but I keep going back to my standard 18-55mm one for blog photographs.

#2 What's your day job?
I'm a student studying Photography at the University of Salford. I have a part time bar job.

#3 Can I purchase one of your DIYs?
For a short while I did sell a few galaxy print t-shirts but unfortunately I don't have the time to run a shop anymore. It's very time consuming and it was taking over from my love of blogging. I always encourage you to give my DIYs a go yourself though, if I can do it - anyone can!

#4 How did you get into blogging?
I started a blog when I started University - as a way of recording my time there. Like an online diary or scrapbook.

#5 What advice can you give me for starting my own blog?
Have a look at my Guide to Starting Your Own Blog where I give you my top tips and ways to get going.

#6 How do you take your outfit photos?
With a tripod and remote! Purchased from Amazon. I wish I had a permanent photographer to follow me around but unfortunately I don't. You can be a little restricted with self-portraits but the more practice you get the better you become. I've since invested in studio lighting which is useful for both my blogging needs and my degree studies.

#7 Where do you source inspiration?
I like websites such as Tumblr, WeHeartIt, StyleGawker and Pinterest for inspiration and looking through magazines such as Topshop, ASOS and The Guardian Weekend.

#8 Where can I follow you?
You can follow me on Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and Bloglovin. I even have a YouTube account although I'm new to video making.

#9 Where did you get (item) from?
I often get emails asking me where a certain clothing or jewellery item is from. 9 times out of 10 I will have mentioned this in the post itself or even linked to it. Please have a good look there first. If I do not mention where an item is from then feel free to tweet or email me.

#10 Can I use your images or text on my blog/website?
Yes of course, as long as you give me the correct credits and link to my blog. My images are all my own unless stated otherwise and I retain all rights to my photography.

This post will be permanently bookmarked at the top of my blog along with my other pages so you can keep coming back for reference. I may add Q+As if needed or alter my answers.
If you have a burning question you've been meaning to ask me, please let me know in the comments! I will do my best to reply in the comment section so keep checking back - but if I'm asked enough times I will add it to this FAQ post!
