Tartan and Leather

Leather Skirt - Lavish Alice
Fur Leather Jacket - New Look (old)
Tartan Scarf - Primark
Rocco Replica - eBay
Boots - New Look
Bowler Hat - H&M

This is the outfit I wore on Thursday night to the Vivienne Westwood event in Manchester (you can read that full article here) so I do apologise for the slightly rough quality photos, after several attempts of taking outfit photos outside near the Christmas lights - we gave up and just took some on the shop floor instead. This way I am surrounded by pretty VW clothes. Alison took these photos for me, thank you my dear.

I posted a picture on my instagram before I left the house and I could only describe this look as 'blogger'. I recently picked up this bowler hat after hoping to find a cheap but well fitting one for months. It's from H&M and it was only £7.99 - they had loads in stock and a few in other colours too. The boots are also new and I LOVE them. They were £27.99 from New Look and even cheaper with student discount and have a 3.5 inch heel but a 1 inch platform so they are super comfortable and easy to walk in. Although I hadn't worn heels in so long my calves had forgotten what it felt like.

I feel I haven't done this beautiful skirt justice in these photographs but not to worry because I will be wearing is ALL over the holiday season and way into Spring because it's flippin gorgeous. So I'm sure I'll have chance to photograph is again. It's my first item from Lavish Alice and now I know where I will be spending my Christmas pennies. It falls in looser pleats (more like waves) than the famous Primark version and it's ten times softer. This exact one (with studs around the waist band) seems to be sold out but there are these two options here and here and they are so similar.

The coat is old I'm afraid, but there are still so many like this out there. I bought it back in 2010 and I'm so glad I kept it at the back of my wardrobe because fur collars seem to be making a comeback! I really need to invest in a good quality tartan scarf as I have worn this one to death. It's getting a bit holey now.

Not long until Christmas! I'm spending today wrapping presents and preparing some blog posts.
