Krispy Kreme - Outfit of the Day

Khaki Green Skirt - DIY
Black Crop Vest - H&M
Belt - Primark
Sunglasses - H&M
Sandals - Blowfish
Jewellery - River Island
Nails - Essie 'Haute as Hello'

This was our last day in Washington DC! We decided to relax and just potter around the streets enjoying the city. As I'd never been before, Nina took me to Krispy Kreme for doughnuts! By the looks of my hair it was a pretty humid day and not much else could be done apart from relaxing on the balcony. We took these photos on the steps leading up to my sister's apartment before going inside to start packing for California.

I've done a DIY post on how to make these skirts, they are so easy and all you need is a men's XL tshirt, elastic and a sowing machine. I made a few in different colours before we left because they are so easy to chuck into your suitcase, they don't need ironing and they look great with everything.
This top is actually a cropped racer back one from H&M that I have in nearly every colour. I'm hoping to find a way of layering them so I can wear them in the Autumn too. And the sandals were a present from Mum, really comfy for walking about in all day (excuse my hideous toes). Updating this for the new season will be easy - tights, boots, socks, chunky loose knit cardigan and a bowler hat. Done!

We were sad to leave DC - the weather had been glorious for the entire week, if not a little too hot and humid, but it's such a lovely city. This is actually the last of my outfit photos from America. I didn't get around to taking any in California, and because the sea breeze was a bit chilly I had a hoody on most of the time.
