GlossyBox All Time Favourites

(This is a scheduled post - I'm currently away on holiday - all comments or messages will be read when I return!)

I've been a GlossyBox fan ever since the company launched in 2011. I didn't manage to get my hands on the first couple of boxes but ever since I've been receiving them like clockwork each month. GlossyBox introduces me to knew exciting products and brands I've never even heard of - as well as including some sought after high end items. I've decided to show you some of my all time favourite products that I have discovered through GlossyBox and now can't live without. The above items would make up my dream GlossyBox should I design one!

KMS Hair Stay Style Boost - this product has changed my mind about hair mousse. Just a little bit scrunch into wet hair gives it great texture and body when blow dried. It pops and crackles like nothing I've ever used before and smells lovely. I don't use it every day but for times when I want a little bit of a change it's my go to hair product. Apply too much however and it can leave your hair a bit sticky and hard.

Awapuhi Wild Ginger Sea Spray - here is a recent GlossyBox find! This one came out of the July 2012 box. It smells amazing, very natural and fresh, doesn't weigh down my hair but again gives it great texture and tames fly-aways. The sample size is perfect for throwing into my travel bag or taking with me on a day out to top up a messy beach hair style.

HD Brows - Before receiving this in my GlossyBox I used to fill my brows in every so often with a brow pencil. This set comes with 4 different shadow shades (I only use one colour on my brows but the others can be used as eyeshadows) and now I can't leave the house without using this. It doesn't smudge or wear away and will keep your eyebrows looking tamed all day. I can apply a little for day time or a lot for a dramatic night time look. I will be repurchasing a HD Brows product or two when this runs out.

Daniel Sander Baby Jet Mascara - I never thought I'd need a mascara for my bottom lashes. Or one with such a teeny wand. But after using this I realise just how many eyelashes my normal mascara wand wasn't picking up! I use this on the bottom lashes and corner lashes to pick up all the tiny ones and then go over with my regular mascara. My first Daniel Sander product too - I'm so glad it was this.

Deborah Lippman Razzle Dazzle Polish - I received this in my Christmas GlossyBox and both my mum and sister were as keen to wear it as I was. It's a beautiful shimmery pink/red/purple/plum colour with lots of silver glitter running through it and it's so perfect for Christmas! I love the shape of the bottle too and I will definitely be purchasing more Deborah Lippman nail polishes in the future. I admit I haven't used it this summer but I will be getting it out again the winter months. It applies really well and two coats is plenty. It's a bugger to remove though!

Loreal Mythic Oil - When the world was raving about hair oils, GlossyBox popped this full size product into their box! I'd never used a hair oil before imagining them to be greasy and sticky. This is quite the opposite. Just a small amount applied to the ends of my hair reduces the look of split ends and gives my hair a glossy healthy appearance. I use this on first day hair to tame the fluff effect but it doesn't build up or weigh down my hair - I can add a little more on the second day if needed. Since trying this I've used a couple of other hair oils but I keep going back to Mythic Oil.

GlossyBox Compact Mirror - This mirror was just an extra goodie included in the Anniversary box but it's been so useful for just popping into my bag and the mirrors inside are actually great quality. I like the extra touches included in GlossyBoxes, whether it's sweets, balloons or mirrors!

Personally I think the idea of GlossyBoxes are not always to receive amazing products each month that will be suited to everyone and anyone. It's more about discovering new brands, trying things you might not normally buy and also just having a bit of fun and an exciting package arriving through your letterbox! This being said I now own some lovely items that I genuinely will want to re-purchase in the future. I can't wait to find out what comes next!
Do you have a favourite product that you discovered in a GlossyBox?

  3. This was a really great post, it's nice to see a Glossybox post which isn't the generic 'this is what I got' kind, and is actually informative as you've had time to properly trial the products and let us know which ones you would repurchase!
