Neon

Grey Tee - H&M
Mint Green Skirt - Primark
Neon Orange Trainers - ASOS
Watch - River Island
Bracelets - H&M
Nails - Essie Haute as Hello

These trainers arrived last week (you might have spotted them on my instagram) and I'm in love! They were a little uncomfortable at first but I think they just need a good wearing in - maybe even a run. I wanted some more comfy footwear for my holiday in August. I'll be walking pretty much everywhere and pretty sandals through city streets will only hold up for so long. Originally I wanted them in lilac but these seemed to sell out within minutes of ASOS posting them on Facebook and they have never re-stocked my size.
But after seeing Audrey of Frassy fame style them I knew the orangey-pink pair were for me! And how close of a match are they to Essie's Haute as Hello!

The skirt is a bit old now so I don't think Primark sell these any more but you can pick similar stuff up everywhere. It's very short and tends to ride up all the time so it's probably why I never wear it. The colour and material are lovely though. This look was inspired by a street style photograph I saw of a girl wearing grey with neon. I think it works in a strange way and definitely makes the bright shades more wearable.

I'm off to see the new Batman tonight! And grab a bite to eat in Manchester so I better go finish getting ready...

  6. Hey Gwen, I started my blog a few months back but have only published thirteen posts. I've not done an outfit of the day post yet, but i really want to as it was one of the things i imagined doing when i started my blog. The problem is i just have no idea where to set up, I've tried balancing my camera on objects whilst on self timer or even getting someone to take the photo's but they never turn out right. Have you got any advice on how to do OOTD posts? It would be such a great help!xx

    1. Hi Maisie, I always use a tripod and a remote (as I'm sure you can spot in most of my outfit photos!) I've considered putting together a blog post about how to take outfit photos - so I'll let you know if I get round to doing it! x
