Barbour Inspired Jacket

It's getting pretty chilly outside and the nights are drawing in earlier. But it's still only September and (hopefully) the temperatures won't drop below zero, a light-weight, water resistant, fashionable jacket is the ideal companion! Because I can't afford the real thing I've gone for a Barbour inspired jacket this season with black quilting, pockets and gold zips.

Mine is from New Look for £34.99 but these quilted beauts are popping up everywhere! It came with a belt which was a little to flimsy and cheap looking for my liking so I removed it, but you can easily add your own leather belt to nip this jacket in at the waist. What I like the most is that the style of this New Look one is a mixture between the classic Barbour quilt and the Barbour waxed jacket. Its got the short stuck up collar and biker-like zips and pockets but with all over quilting. A perfect in-between!

What's next on my coat wish list? A grungy parka with fur trim on the hood and a smart duffle in a bright Autumn colour! I'm planning on having two thick warm winter coats and two lightweight jackets to see me through til April!

  1. I have a jacket like that, I love it and go nowhere without it!

  2. Looks nice and warm :)

  3. Love this jacket! I have a Barbour wax jacket, but I have alaways wanted a quilted one!

I love your blog header and sidebars, do you mind telling me what program you used to make them? If not, dont worry! :)

  4. @Dolly Daydream I just played around with the Blogger Templates! Nothing special :) x

  5. River Island have the nicest fur trim parka at the minute, it doesn't look anything special on the hanger but when it's on, it's brill! big fan of quilted jackets but my boyfriend just bought one and that'll be all he wears all winter so I don't know if I should haha

  6. love this on you darl! I got a wax look one from Primark! Also looking for a good duffel coat, think I want a classic navy tho! Already got a mustard one from last season!

    great minds! xoox
