The Adventures of a Rainy Afternoon

While my parents are bathing in the glorious sunshine down south I am stuck up north in this pouring rain! What to do on such a miserable day, well, shop of course! So I headed to a near by town with two of my besties with a very short shopping list in my pocket.

We were thrown of course a bit when driving into the car park Ashley's car decided to just give up and brake down. The clutch pedal completely snapped (apparently a clutch cable issue) and we were left with no option but to get out and push the car into a parking space. (or across three)

Men were called and arrived in the form of Ashley's dad and The AA. The nice AA man showed up to help and said he could fix the problem pretty easily. Thank god for the male species!

After panicking and pushing we finally got around to our shopping and this is what I came back with...

My first ever Body Shop Body Butter and Scrub - yes I can hardly believe it either! It was buy two for £15 and after testing every single pot I chose Mango Body Butter and Sweet Lemon Body Scrub as they were my favourite scents. The Lemon Scrub is also really....icy? A sort of crushed ice texture and very sugary, ideal for buffing away those 4 day old tan lines.

Other goodies included these Superdrug exfoliating gloves

Two MUA nail varnishes in Shade 16 and Shade 21.

Gosh Darling Lipstick, which I've been meaning to get my hands on for ages and now finally have.
It looks much more nude than it did in Superdrug so I'm unsure how much wear I will get out of it.

These glitter nail tips for 99p in Bodycare may be a complete disaster but we'll soon find out!
I think I'm more into the black tips than the pink ones.

And finally this beautiful wrap around chain and leather bracelet from Primark. Marked at £2.50 but was only £1 at the till! Winner. It looks and feels much more expensive though.

So after a tiring day I think I will enjoy staying in tonight with a good book, scrubbing away at my skin, catching up on blogs and eating my brother's cooking - delicious!
